Closure of Harrison House Gallery

It is with regret that we officially inform you that the Harrison House Gallery is closing for an indefinite period.

Due to unexpected family committments, and lean economic times,it has been difficult to put forth the effort required to promote our gallery in its current format.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed showcasing and promoting our artists works. A big Thank -You to all of our artists for having worked with us and for all of the positive and enthusiastic comments from our many visitors.

We look forward to again having you enjoy our artistic endeavors when circumstances permit.

Baby it’s cold outside

Can you believe the weather ? We are warm and toasty at the Gallery and all of our art is so much nicer to look at than the white cold snow.Come in for a visit and see what we have to share with you. Do your own gallery hop and call us for a private viewing , outside of our regular business hours .

We are closed over the Christmas Holidays.

Our Art Gallery will be closed from Dec 21 till January 7 , 2014 for the Ghristmas Holidays. As always we can be opened for a private viewing by contacting us by phone 663-8085.

We have lots of art to choose from for the perfect gift. We have 3 rooms filled with art- original, giclee, jewellery, clay replicas,glass, photography,artifical flowers, and of course paintings.What excitement is in store for the recipient of your good taste when the artwork is revealed on Christmas Day.

Barbara Cronk – Wildlife and Nature Artist

Come and see what our new Artist has to offer. We have 3 of her wildlife paintings of birds and several of her mushroom figurines.They are on display in our first room and are very unique.The mushrooms are small realistic clay replicas that depict real mushrooms and perfect for nature lovers.
We welcome you to come and visit the art of this Nova Scotia artist.

Christmas Shopping is well underway

We have a wonderful selection of original art and photography for a truely unique gift for that special person on your list.We have lots of original jewellery by Patsy Day and silver jewellery by Mike Stymest. If you are looking for note cards and small framed prints we have those too. Parking is right outside our door and always available.Patsy, Diane , and Vitaly are there to help you find what you need. We can do gift certificates if that helps too.

Rhoda’s Christmas Show at Harbor Station

The gallery will be closed until Tuesday as all hands are busy getting ready for the Christmas Show at Harbor Station which starts Friday at noon and goes until Sunday afternoon. Come and see us there ! If you need to visit the gallery during the show hours just call 663- 8085 for assistance.

Drawing and Watercolor classes

 

Mike Butler, from the  the multi talented Butler family , has joined Harrison House Gallery as well and has his paintings on display. He has made himself so at home that he is offering classes in our design space on Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.Please contact him if interested and ask him about the connection between our gallery and his brother Ray Butler when you see him at the HOP on Friday.

Congratulations Helen !

As Helen says on her website , she had a total blast at the 2013 SKB workshop in Dubois, WY.There were some amazing arrtists there like Robert Bateman , and Sir John Seerey-Lester and he was the person presenting her with a 2nd place Ribbon in Watercolor for her painting “Sitting Duck ” .
